Natural Golf Q&A
Hi, I'm Marty. I'm not a golf professional; I never played on the tour; and I never met Moe Norman. I created SwitchToNaturalGolf.com because I thought some people might find it useful to read about an ordinary golfer's experience with Switching to Natural Golf.
I'm not trying to sell anything. Any golf equipment reviews you read here are based on my own personal experience and I receive no compensation. I work a regular 9-5 job and maintain this website as a hobby.
In 2004, I switched to the Natural Golf swing method and took lessons from the only certified Natural Golf instructor in my area. Since Switching to Natural Golf, I've lowered my handicap from an 8 to a 4. For more details on why I switched, click on "Why Switch to NG" on the top menu.
As an amateur, I do not claim to possess the ability to model "the perfect Moe Norman swing". But I strongly believe that golf is not a game of perfect that can only be enjoyed by pros. I was able to lower my handicap and play better, more consistent golf by Switching to Natural Golf. This website contains my thoughts and tips on the Natural Golf technique. This site is not affiliated in any way with the Natural Golf organization. It is just one golfer's testament to this approach to the game.
The Natural Golf technique has undergone some modifications in the past few years. Some of the terminology has changed. I suppose part of the reason for the change is to keep people coming back for more. As an example, the term "Palm Grip" has been replaced with "Natural Hold". A complete explanation of this change can be found at Moe Norman Golf Academy. The term "palm grip" still works for me, so that's why you'll continue to see it on my site.
